Enhanced Geothermal System (EGS)

A man-made reservoir created to extract heat from hot rock that has insufficient natural permeability or fluid. It’s a technology designed to make geothermal energy viable in areas that have heat but lack the natural fracture networks needed for a conventional hydrothermal system.
