The adjusted pressure rating for a piece of equipment, like a valve or flange, after its strength has been reduced by high temperature. All pressure-rated equipment has a standard Rated Working Pressure (RWP), which is its maximum safe operating pressure at ambient temperatures. However, high temperatures, like those found in complex geothermal wells, weaken metal. The TCRWP is the de-rated, or lower, pressure value that accounts for this loss of strength, representing the actual maximum pressure the equipment can safely handle at a specific elevated operating temperature.
